The Little Free Food Pantry is one of Aurora Gateway Rotary’s signature projects. Modeled after the Little Free Library, the outdoor pantry provides nonperishable food items, personal hygiene products and seasonal items to those that are experiencing food stress.
The Little Free Food Pantry is entering it fourth year and throughout that time has distributed hundreds of pounds of food at our two locations; The Martin Luther King Library and the Hoffman Heights Fire Station in Aurora.
As a result of the success of the project, the City of Aurora has awarded a $1000 grant to keep the pantry project humming right along and with additional grants from the Rotary Foundation and the Aurora Gateway Rotary Foundation, it is guaranteed that the project will continue to move forward.
